Raised on a ranch in West Texas most of my life, I moved to town when I was old enough to go to college. I started out as a music major with French Horn as my primary instrument and piano as secondary. Dropped music and attended nursing school for a degree as soon as I was able to do as I wanted. The medical field had a much better potential for earnings than music and I had a very average talent that was enjoyable but not employable! I work in a large cardiovascular surgery center and my work is my passion. For the past twelve years I have also been designing jewelry! I torch glass to create many of my own beads, and pendants for my designs. I work in Precious Metal Clay, Polymer Clay, crystals (vintage as well as new), pearls, gemstones, and almost any medium that calls out to me. One unique medium I work in is small glass beads called seed beads. Creating three dimensional floral components in a special way that can be used for jewelry applications. Most recently I have added soldering of Sterling Silver filigree to my repertoire of work.
I love tools! Saws, drills, files, templates, torches...you name it! I am a tool junky.
By day I help fix sick hearts. By night I am the mad scientist in my jewelry studio! I hope you enjoy the slide show. The best way to get to know me is through my work! I am a romantic in the most literal and literary senses of the word!
I'm a bit excited about my new traffic swarm account. I just signed up day before yesterday and I'm already seeing impressive numbers from the websites that I have targeted with it. I'm impressed enough that I just upgraded the account from free to Pro. My Yuwie referral link, and both of my online jewelry boutiques are getting more traffic! Hurray!
